Undergraduate programmes or courses offered by the University of Delhi through its affiliated colleges in various streams of study under different faculties/institutions namely Faculty of Applied Social Sciences and Humanities, Cluster Innovation Centre, Faculty of Education, Faculty of Inter-Disciplinary and Applied Sciences, Indraprastha College for Women and Faculty of Music and Fine Arts, Faculty of Social Sciences. Faculty of Education: Bachelor of Elementary Education
The Bachelor of Elementary Education or B.El.Ed. programme is a four year integrated professional degree programme offered after the senior secondary (class XII) stage of school. The programme is bilingual and interdisciplinary in nature. This programme is only offered to the girls in 8 women colleges of University of Delhi. Students study different theory courses in education, subject disciplines and practicum courses such as School contact programme, classroom management and material development and School-based Internship during this course. Intensive and focused workshops are organized through the year in the areas of theatre, craft, story-telling and self-development. The programme aims to prepare professional and competent teachers for the elementary school level.
