Earlier, students were entitled to get registered for CPT examinations during or after their 12th standards but now, as aspirant can register for the exam after their 10th standard as well but the examinations can be given only after clearing their 12th standard exams. CPT is an entry level examination of Chartered Accountancy examinations in India. It is an objective type test with negative marking for each wrong answer. The exam is of 200 marks wherein, the exam is divided into two sessions of two hours each with a break in between.
