When to take the SAT
In India, most students take the SAT during the summer of their grade 11 of higher secondary. Many students choose to take the SAT a second time in the fall / autumn of their grade 12 after becoming familiar with the test-day experience.

SAT Subject Test
SAT Subject Tests measure students’ knowledge and skills in particular subject areas, and their ability to apply that knowledge. The SAT Subject Tests give students an additional opportunity to distinguish themselves and showcase their skills in a particular subject area. It is a required test for admission to highly selective universities in USA.
Each year, nearly 500,000 students take SAT Subject Tests to demonstrate their mastery of particular subjects. There are 20 SAT subject tests in five general subject areas – mathematics, science, English, history and foreign languages. Each test is of one hour duration and the scaled score ranges between 200 to 800.
